4/30/2006 Gigabytes Computer Store officially closes its doors.

From Owner Josh Tordsen: For 5 fantastic years, Gigabytes Computer Store has been serving the technical needs of Sioux Falls area customers with affordable effective technical services. We have accomplished much and done a lot of good for our customers and the community on the whole.  It is with much regret that we must close our doors.

Several issues combined to force our closure. Suffice it to say, the conditions in which we were doing business significantly deteriorated in the last year of operation and forced us to close.

That does not mean that we will go away for good.  By any measure, this situation is temporary at best.  We intend to re-invent Gigabytes Computer Store and bring it back in a whole new form.  We are currently in the process of regrouping which is a much slower process than I had originally thought.  By my estimates, it may be another year before we are ready to establish a whole new retail outlet.

I want to apologize to our customers as by all accounts, I am sure this move seemed quite sudden.  I can be reached via a new venture called Gigastrand International that my business partner and I started back in February 2006.  The company is based out of Chicago but I maintain my office here in Sioux Falls.
